  • Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children
Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children
“A great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer.”

  • March for Life
    March for Life
The right to life is a human right. Our defense of that right is a joyful witness to the beauty and dignity of every human person. The March for Life is an inspiring, peaceful, vibrant, and joy-filled rally of women, men, young people, and children from all across the country. Every year, tens of thousands of pro-lifers converge on the National Mall and march on Capitol Hill on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling which legalized abortion in all 50 states. It’s the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world. But this is not just a protest… TOGETHER, WE GATHER TO CELEBRATE LIFE. We celebrate each and every life, from the moment of conception. We envision a world where every life is celebrated, valued, and protected.

    • There is hope after abortion.

It's common but often unspoken - to grieve the loss of a child by abortion. It may seem that nothing can fill the emptiness of one's heart. Be assured that there is forgiveness, hope and healing. Many women and men have participated in diocesan Project Rachel Ministries and been transformed by God's merciful love.  If you or someone you know is suffering after abortion, confidential, non-judgmental help is available from Project Rachel Ministry. Visit the "Find Help" map on HopeAfterAbortion.org to find the nearest diocesan ministry. Spanish speakers may visit EsperanzaPosAborto.org.

Project Rachel is a ministry of the Catholic Church in the U.S. to those who have been involved in abortion. It is a diocesan-based network of specially trained priests, religious, counselors, and laypersons who provide a team response of care for those suffering in the aftermath of abortion. In addition to referring for Sacramental Reconciliation, the ministry provides an integrated network of services, including pastoral counseling, support groups, retreats and referrals to licensed mental health professionals.
It is open to all . . . people of all faiths or no faith.

For more information on abortion healing and find help for you or someone you know, visit "Hope After Abortion" or in Spanish
