Our Mission
The Office of the Bishop is dedicated to supporting the ministry and service of His Excellency Jerome Feudjio, Bishop of St Thomas in the Virgin Islands. As the chief shepherd of the diocesan church and pastor to all the faithful, Bishop Feudjio leads our community in faith, hope, and love.

Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Office of the Bishop serves as the central hub of communication and coordination for the entire Diocese of St Thomas. Our primary responsibilities include:
1. Pastoral Leadership:
Supporting the Bishop in his role as the spiritual leader of the diocese, guiding the faithful in matters of faith and morals.2. Diocesan Administration:
Assisting in the governance of the diocese, including personnel decisions, policy implementation, and resource allocation.3. Liaison with the Holy See and Bishops’ Conference:
Facilitating communication between the diocese and the Vatican, and the diocese and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, ensuring alignment with the universal Church.4. Interfaith and Community Relations:
Representing the Catholic Church in dialogue with other faith communities and civic organizations in the U.S. Virgin Islands.5. Sacramental Ministry:
Coordinating the Bishop's schedule for confirmations, ordinations, and other sacramental celebrations across the diocese.

Communication & Coordination
The Office of the Bishop acts as a vital link between various entities within and outside the diocese:- Parishes and Clergy: Facilitating communication between the Bishop and the pastors, priests, and deacons serving in our parishes.
- Diocesan Offices: Coordinating with the Chancery staff and heads of various diocesan departments to ensure efficient operations and unified mission.
- Catholic Organizations: Liaising with Catholic schools, charities, and other institutions within the diocese.
- Government and Civil Society: Representing the Church's interests and concerns to local and federal government bodies in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Episcopal VisitationsOne of the key functions of the Office is to organize and coordinate the Bishop's pastoral visits to parishes, schools, and Catholic organizations throughout the islands. These visitations allow the Bishop to:
- Celebrate Mass and administer sacraments
- Meet with parish councils and ministry leaders
- Engage with the faithful and address local concerns
- Assess the needs of each community within the diocese

Supporting the Bishop's InitiativesThe Office works diligently to implement and support the Bishop's pastoral priorities and initiatives, which may include:
- Evangelization and faith formation programs
- Social justice and community outreach efforts
- Vocations promotion and support
- Stewardship and financial stability measures
- Ecumenical and interfaith dialogue
