TODAY (Green) Mal 3:19-20a; 2 Thes 3:7-12 ; Lk 21:5-19

NEXT WEEK (White) 2 Sm 5:1-3; Col 1:12-20; Lk 23:35-43

Catastrophes, disaster, wars, insurrections etc. are not signs of the end of the world, but of how far we actually are from the end. Preaching, teaching, and living in Jesus’ name is the one sure way of discipleship that hastens Jesus’ Second Coming and secures for us eternal life. We will know the end is near when the goodness and love are abundant, when caring and sharing mark our daily living, when all people are brothers and sisters.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development
CCHD was founded in 1970 by Catholic Bishops of the United States as their domestic anti-poverty program. They realized that outreach through established charitable services was not creating the changes needed to keep people out of poverty. The Bishops saw a need to address polices and systems that perpetuate poverty as a complement to their direct service programs. Therefore a special collection will be taken on November 24, to help to continue the important work, and take poverty off the map.
