TODAY (Green) Hb 1:2-3; 2:2-4; 2 Tm 1:6-8, 13-14; Lk 17:5-10

NEXT WEEK (Green) 2 Kgs 5:14-17; 2 Tm 2:8-13; Lk 17:11-19

Jesus tells the Disciples that even a smidgen of faith can achieve great things. How do we increase faith? Faith increases through decisive obedience to what is commanded. How do we measure this kind of faith? We measure our faith by measuring our faithfulness. The faithful disciple of Jesus is never finished serving. The faith of a disciple is never finished increasing. It’s our way of life. Thus, the important thing to remember here is that faith is more a verb than a noun. Faith is expressed in the way we act. Eucharistic Ministers
On Thursday, October 10, 2013, all Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers are invited to attend an important meeting at the Marian Hall at 6:00 p.m. Please be on time.

Are you having trouble balancing your budget in these inflationary times? Does it sometimes occur to you that when one puts God first, one’s money is likely to last longer?
Tithing should not, of course, be taken in a “what will I get out of it?” mental attitude. The important thing is what God will get out of it: our gratitude for his countless blessings: our proclamation of his dominion over us; more funds for the spread of the Good News of salvation.
Tithing becomes easier if we set aside the Lord’s portion and give it to him. Pray about it!
Your giving is the key to the success of the church plans and programs. To help us meet our obligations, please pray about TITHING, and become good STEWARDS by obtaining Offertory Envelopes available in the Marian Hall, as a reminder to support your church.

God of all goodness, look with love on those who wait for the safe return of their loved ones who serve in the armed forces of their country. In faith and hope we turn to you for comfort. Grant that we may trust in your mercy and send an angel to sustain us as we await their safe return. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
