TODAY (Green) Wis 18:6-9; Heb 11:1-2, 8-19; LK 12:32-48

NEXT WEEK (Green) Jer 38:4-6, 8-10; Heb 12:1-4; Lk 12:49-53

What, really, does the Father give us? What is the treasure that is to claim our hearts? The “inexhaustible treasure in heaven” the Father gives us the Son. (The Master). Our hearts must lie with the Son, for he is our Treasure. Those servants who are formed by this Treasure abide by the Son’s expectations and seek to carry them out. Faithful servants do as the Son would do—their actions follow their heart. When our hearts lie where our treasure is, it is not overly difficult to do what the Son would do.

St. Ann’s Goal-$40,000.00
We are grateful to all those who have donated to the Bishop’s Appeal. To make our goal, we need everyone’s participation. For your convenience, you can still make a pledge, and pay it in installments. The Bishop’s Appeal will formally end on December 31, 2013, so that you have ample time to fulfill your pledge. Our Catholic Schools, Catholic Charities and Evangelization efforts need your support. Your gift helps feed the hungry and gives safe shelter to mothers and children in desperate need. Please support the Bishop’s Appeal during this year when we seek to grow in our Catholic Faith, and put it ever more into action!

Financial support is essential to the church’s mission and individual Christian growth. You can contribute through: Regular giving and pledging. These include: weekly offerings and regular charitable contributions. Tithing is the way to set aside a portion of your income for your church. These methods help make it convenient for you to contribute to your church. Remember, the question isn’t “How much should I give?” The question is “Am I giving all I can?” “From everyone to whom much is given, much will be required.”…Lk 12:48. By giving to the church, you put your resources in God’s hands. Your giving is the key to the success of the church plans and programs. To help us meet our obligations, please pray about TITHING, and become good STEWARDS by obtaining Offertory Envelopes available in the Marian Hall, as a reminder to support your church.

God of all goodness, look with love on those who wait for the safe return of their loved ones who serve in the armed forces of their country. In faith and hope we turn to you for comfort. Grant that we may trust in your mercy and send an angel to sustain us as we await their safe return. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
