Sts. Joachim & Ann are the Grandparents of Jesus, and the Parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Redemptorist Fathers chose St. Ann as our Patron in 1900, and after we became a Parish, we added St. Joachim, since he is the husband of St. Ann, and the Father of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We celebrate Their feast on July 26, and we are grateful for the power of their intercession as we continue to journey within the Kingdom of God. Sts. Joachim and Ann, pray for us.

Thank you to all who have already contributed to the Bishop’s Appeal 2014! We need more help in order to reach our goal. Please give a brochure to a friend. For your convenience, you can make a pledge now and pay it in installments. Our schools, Catholic Charities and Evangelization efforts need everyone’s support! Let us work together for the Kingdom of God! In view of the present economy, Bishop Bevard has changed our parish goal to $30,000. Please make contributions to the Bishop Appeal, so that we can reach our goal. Thank you.

Liturgy Schedules for the month of August are available in the Sacristy. All those who are involved in the Liturgy are asked to pick up their schedules after Mass, Thank you.

We bring nothing into this world…and we take nothing out of it. EVERYTHING that we have while we are here comes as a GIFT FROM GOD… In appreciation, we choose to share a portion of these gifts. The stewardship of our property is an ongoing process. We give regularly and systematically in proportion to the gifts which we are given…the talents which earn our possessions. Because we love God, we gladly dedicate these gifts to God’s service. Giving money to the church is a symbolic act—the offering of ourselves in service and devotion to God. Giving is a practical matter, too, because the offering makes it possible for the church to pay bills and carry out its mission in Christ’s name. The Bible says that we should set aside our “first fruits”—that our offering to God should be the first portion we set aside, not what remains. Your giving is the key to the success of church plans and programs. To help us meet our obligations, please pray about TITHING and become GOOD STEWARDS by obtaining Offertory Envelopes available in the Marian Hall as a weekly reminder to support your church.

God of all goodness, look with love on those who wait for the safe return of their loved ones who serve in the armed forces of their country. In faith and hope we turn to you for comfort. Grant that we may trust in your mercy and send an angel to sustain us as we await their safe return. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
