TODAY (Green) Wis 12:13, 16-19; Rom 8:26-27; Mt 13:24-43

NEXT WEEK (Green) 1 Kgs 3:5, 7-12; Rom 8:28-30; Mt 13:44-52

“The kingdom of heaven is like…”Jesus uses three comparisons to explain this mystery of God’s Presence and reign. The first parable speaks of discernment; the second of full growth; the third of transformation. In this is the realization of the kingdom of heaven: our discerning God’s will, our growing into full stature as “children of the kingdom,” opening ourselves to being transformed into those remaining faithful until “the end of age.” The kingdom of heaven is at hand when we allow God to be present to us and we become that Presence for others.

CHRISTIANSHIP STEWARDSHIP:
God’s chosen people were taught in what spirit they were to make their offerings:
“In generous spirit pay homage to the Lord, be not sparing of free will gifts. With each contribution show a cheerful countenance, and pay your tithes in a spirit of joy. Give to the Most High as he has given to you, generously, according to your means. For the Lord is one who always repays, and he will give back to you sevenfold” (Sir 35:7-10). Your giving is the key to the success of church plans and programs. To help us meet our obligations, please pray about TITHING and become GOOD STEWARDS by obtaining Offertory Envelopes available in the Marian Hall as a weekly reminder to support your church.
