TODAY (Red) Acts 12:1-11; 2 Tm 4:6-8, 17-18; Mt 16:13-19

NEXT WEEK (Green) Zec 9:9-10; Rom 8:9,11-13; Mt 11:25-30

To be faithful rocks upon which the church is built, we must know who Jesus is for us, listen to what he teaches us, and guard against anything prevailing against the church. Peter and Paul’s faithful and fruitful discipleship rested on the rock of their knowing Jesus; so must ours. Drawing from our everyday experience of rocks, we must be unyielding when it comes to living what Jesus has taught us, rock solid when it comes to following him, rock steady in our commitment to bring his love care to others.
