The Most Holy Trinity

June 15, 2014

TODAY (White) Ex 34:4b-6,8-9; 2Cor 13:11-13; Jn 3:16

NEXT WEEK (White) Dt 8:2-3,14b-16a; 1Cor 10:16-17; Jn 6:51-58

God’s desire is that we share in divine Life eternally. To this end, God is very near—near to Moses on Mount Sinai and near to us in the divine Son who came to dwell among us. Even more: for those who believe, our triune God dwells within us by grace and communion, drawing us into the inner Life of the Trinity. The unceasing Life of the Trinity is this: to love us into eternal Life. It is God’s gracious gift, and ours to choose.

CONGRATULATIONS
(1984-2014) On Tuesday, June 24, St. Ann’s first class of Deacons will celebrate their 30th Anniversary of service to the Parish and the Diocese. Deacons Hyacinthe George, Joseph Mark, Norbert Xavier, Conrad Williams, James Verhoff, +Msgr. Bernard Campbell (Dec’d)

PETER’S PENCE COLLECTION
On June 29, our Diocese will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides the Holy Father with the assistance he needs to carry out his most important charitable works. The proceeds benefit the most disadvantaged: victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Through your generosity with Pope Francis we can cast the love of Christ upon the world.

LOST & FOUND
There is a “Lost & Found” Box in the Sacristy for people who lost their possessions. In the box there are eye glasses (5), Toyota car keys (1), empty leather wallet (1), broaches (2), and rings, earrings, watch and rosaries.

CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP
Give Honestly—if you think you might not be giving enough, reconsider the amount you give.
Give Regularly—and proportionally, a certain percentage of your annual income.
Give Generously—with an open heart, and an open hand. God takes care of those who share their first fruits with others. Your giving is the key to the success of church plans and programs. To help us meet our obligations, please pray about TITHING and become GOOD STEWARDS by obtaining Offertory Envelopes available in the Marian Hall as a weekly reminder to support your church.

MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES
God of all goodness, look with love on those who wait for the safe return of their loved ones who serve in the armed forces of their country. In faith and hope we turn to you for comfort. Grant that we may trust in your mercy and send an angel to sustain us as we await their safe return. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
