The Most Holy Trinity

May 26, 2013

TODAY (White) Prv 8:22-31; Rom 5:1-15; Jn 16-12-15

NEXT WEEK (White) Gn 14:18-20; 1Cor 11:23-26; Lk 9:11b-17

The Spirit guides us to all truth. That truth is the Holy Spirit, is the life given by the Spirit. Everything the Father has is given us. What the Father gives us is divine Life. And is for Jesus’ glory that his disciples are empowered by the Spirit to bear what belongs to Jesus and the Father: divine Life. Our triune God holds back nothing from us. Our God is triune—three divine persons in one God—and this God gives us everything we need to grow in the Life given us.

As of May 13, the parishes have raised $132,937 or 47% of the parish goal of $285,000.We are grateful to all those who have donated to the Bishop’s Appeal. To make our goal, we need everyone’s participation. For your convenience, you can still make a pledge, and pay it in installments. The Bishop’s Appeal will formally end on December 31, 2013, so that you have ample time to fulfill your pledge. Our Catholic Schools, Catholic Charities and Evangelization efforts need your support. Your gift helps feed the hungry and gives safe shelter to mothers and children in desperate need. Please support the Bishop’s Appeal during this year when we seek to grow in our Catholic Faith and put it ever more into action!

God of all goodness, look with love on those who wait for the safe return of their loved ones who serve in the armed forces of their country. In faith and hope we turn to you for comfort. Grant that we may trust in your mercy and send an angel to sustain us as we await their safe return. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
