Sixth Sunday of Easter Graphic

TODAY (White) Acts 15:1-2, 22-29; Rv 21:10-14, 22-23; Jn 14:23-29

NEXT WEEK (White) Acts 1:1-11; Eph 1:17-23; Lk 24:46-53

The Holy Spirit does not teach us what to believe, but to believe. To believe means to live out of the divine indwelling, live out of the peace given, live out of the mutual exchange of love between God and us and each other. Believing is living what the spirit teaches us. Believing is an action that marries love with presence. God’s love is divine life, divine indwelling. The Holy Spirit given to us is divine life, divine indwelling.

Pro-Life Religious Outreach
“Almost every Chinese family has been impacted in some way by the loss of a loved one because of the one–child–per-family policy. Virtually everyone in China is missing a son or a daughter, or a brother or a sister because some Communist Party [official] found out that their wife or mother was pregnant with an “illegal” second or third child, arrested them for the “crime’ of being pregnant, and took them against their will for an abortion.” (Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute).

God of all goodness, look with love on those who wait for the safe return of their loved ones who serve in the armed forces of their country. In faith and hope we turn to you for comfort. Grant that we may trust in your mercy and send an angel to sustain us as we await their safe return. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
