Easter Sunday, The Resurrection of the Lord

April 24, 2011

TODAY (White) NEXT WEEK (White) Acts 10:34a-37-43 Acts 2:42-47
Col 3:1-4 1 Pt 1:3-9
Jn 20:1-9 Jn 20:19-31

The Easter Mystery is truly preposterous, unbelievable, absurd. Whoever heard of someone rising from the dead? We can identify easily with the apostles who “saw and believed.” Who wanted with all their hearts to know their beloved Lord was alive, but yet they “did not understand.” This mystery is preposterous, unbelievable, absurd. Who ever heard of someone rising from the dead? We have! Jesus is risen! Alleluia!
