Second Sunday in Ordinary Time
January 20, 2013

TODAY (Green) Is 62:1-5, 1 Cor 12:4-11, Jn 2:1-11

NEXT WEEK (Green) Neh 8:2-4a, 5-6, 8-10; 1 Cor 12:12-30, Lk 1:1-4; 4:14-21

Jesus’ epiphany—the revelation of his glory—did not end with the sign he performed, but with the belief to which his followers came. Not only does Jesus change water into wine, but he transforms his disciples from being mere companions to becoming those who believe in him. They move from fellowship to the intimacy of belief and their lives will never be the same. He changed them. He will change us. And our lives will never be the same.

CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP means returning the first portion of all God has given to you. Stewardship is: A way to thank God for blessing you with special gifts. It’s base on your need to give something back to God—not on the church’s need for money. A lifelong commitment to follow Jesus, regardless the cost. Your commitment to God can’t be expressed in any single action. A rewarding way of life in which your personal relationship with Jesus is enriched and deepened every day. The key to peace—it makes the world we live in a better place for everyone. Give from substance—not abundance. Give back the first portion of all your God—given-gifts. Make sharing a top priority—not something you do with your remaining time and money. “My God in turn will supply your needs fully, in a way worthy of his magnificent riches in Christ Jesus”. Phil 4:19.
Your giving is the key to the success of the church plans and programs. To help us meet our obligations, please pray about TITHING and become good STEWARDS by obtaining Offertory Envelopes available in the Marian Hall as a reminder to support your church
