The Light of Christ Retreat Center was inaugurated in the mid 1980’s. It was formerly a Convent built in the early 1960’s for the Belgian Nuns who taught at St. Patrick’s School. After the Sisters relocated, the Redemptorist Father’s, pastor’s of St. Patrick’s Church, renovated the building and created the first diocesan retreat center for the people of the Virgin Islands. In 2005, the Redemptorist Father’s of St. Patrick’s parish transferred the responsibility of the Retreat Center to the Diocese and Sr. Patricia Alexander, West Indian Franciscan, became the Director. She was assisted by Ms. Callista Julien, a native of Trinidad & Tobago. Sr. Patricia retired in December 2011 and Ms. Julien was appointed Director.
