Knights Visit St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish on February 13, 2011
Acting Grand Knight Louis Soto, Jr. is shown giving a short presentation to recruit new members for the K of C. The local Council has 40 members and is growing. It meets every first and third Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM in McAlpin Hall at Holy Cross Parish in Christiansted. Every month, the Council visits a different parish to take part in the liturgy, to assist with some of the needs of the parish, and to promote the membership. Fr. John Mark was the celebrant for the Mass and is shown in the center oƒ the photo. To his left is Deacon Neville Charles.
Some of the members were with the Acting Grand Knight and attended the 7 AM Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Acting Grand Knight Louis Soto, Jr. is shown presenting a check from the K of C to Fr. John Mark, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church and President of St. Joseph Catholic High School. The check was a donation to help with the chapel that is being made in Building 8 on the school campus.
The Knights of Columbus, Holy Cross Council # 6482 had a celebration at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Social Hall on St. Croix on June 11, 2010. The celebration commemorated the end of the Year for Priests. The Knights honored the clergy on St. Croix and their founder, the Venerable Michael J. McGivney. Click on the photo to see a slide show.
